We created the 11-minute video above to help orient you to all of the tools in the toolkit and provide tips on how to adapt it to the culture of your organization.
History of Protein for All
The Protein for All Program emerged from Dr. Kristen Allott's 2014 training for Washington State Superior Court and Tribal judicial officers, emphasizing the pivotal role of nutrition in sound decision-making. Collaborating with the Court Improvement Training Academy (CITA) at the University of Washington School of Law, subsequent sessions led by Dr. Allott sparked widespread enthusiasm, inspiring judicial officers, court staff, and Parent Allies to initiate Protein for All projects in their communities. A decade later, the Washington State Administrative Offices of the Courts enlisted Dr. Kristen Allott and Natasha Duarte to enhance and expand the program's tools.
While this toolkit is focused on the court system, it can be adapted to many different contexts.

The Spokane Juvenile Court is one of several courts in the state of Washington that helped birth the Parents for Parents and the Protein for All Programs.
Dr. Kristen Allott and Natasha Duarte sat down (via Zoom) with Heather Cantamessa and Ambrosia Eberhardt to hear their stories about the history of Parents for Parents in Spokane and how they learned about and have been integrating Protein for All. They remind us of how when starting new programs-- hope, persistence and a community of people who believe in helping others be their best selves is what brings possibility into reality.
